Derbyshire based Litton Property Group and Edinburgh based Buccleuch Property, through their established Joint Venture Litton Buccleuch, have signed an agreement with landowner Blue Anchor Leisure over approximately 200 acres immediately to the south of Junction 4, M18, in Doncaster. The site is known as West Moor Park East.
The site is currently the subject of a planning application for 2.9M sq ft of employment and logistics space with Doncaster Metropolitan Brough Council.
The site is strategically located directly off Junction 4, M18, and on the opposite side of the motorway to the established West Moor Park, which includes occupiers such as Fellowes Manufacturing, Next, Ikea and others. It is one junction east of the established iPort and Great Yorkshire way connection to Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
Junction 4 is also identified for a potential further link to the airport in due course.
Sandy Smith of Buccleuch and Mark Twelves at Litton Property Group commented jointly,
“Following successful projects elsewhere we have looked at a number of sites on the M18 corridor over the last few years. West Moor Park East is a site that we have tracked with interest, and we are very pleased to have now exchanged contracts.
“We look forward to working collaboratively with the Local Authority and other stakeholders in delivering this strategic opportunity; helping to address what is a chronic shortage of employment land, both regionally and nationally.
“We have substantial interest from occupiers and inward investors which will bring investment jobs and provide strategic support for the expansion of the airport as well as the wider local economy.
Letting agents for the project are CPP Sheffield, and Barnsdales in Doncaster.
Litton Buccleuch have an established Joint Venture company and recently delivered a £70M GDV, 17 storey, 860 bedrooms student housing scheme in central Sheffield which was sold to Fusion Student Housing.
