Buccleuch Property and Horse Time would like to thank all the participants and supporters of the Buccleuch Property Challenge for their incredible generosity in our fundraising efforts. Based in the Scottish Borders, Horse Time is a unique mental-health charity which specialises in equine enhanced psychological trauma therapy. They have found that their approach, connecting with nature and the non-judgemental presence of horses, has managed to help people who have struggled with more traditional forms of therapy and delivered some extraordinary long-term results.
We are pleased to report that £6,362 was raised which enabled Horse Time to fund a group therapy programme for 6 people consisting of 54 hours of both group and individual therapy for each person.
Working with the herd of therapeutic horses, the main objective of the treatment programme was to improve the quality of life for each of the participants by reducing the symptoms of depression, anxiety and trauma.
By the end of the treatment, collectively a 66% reduction in trauma symptomology, a 53% reduction in symptoms associated with depression and a 62% reduction in the symptoms associated with anxiety was reported.

We are delighted with this result and once again would like to thank everyone who made this possible. Horse Time will return as our charity partner for 2023 and we look forward to raising even more for this life-changing charity.
