Shawfair Business Park Sale to Genus Medical Completes

Buccleuch Property has successfully completed the sale of three pavilions in Shawfair Business Park, Midlothian to Genus Medical. The £4 million sale included three pavilion buildings totalling 22,643 sq ft with Genus Medical intending to occupy the 7,424 sq ft building 3.

Recently refurbished to offer open-plan office space over two floors, the accommodation has been built to an excellent specification with market-leading ESG credentials. Wester Shawfair is prominently located within a prime 50-acre business park which is part of the largest urban expansion in Edinburgh.

Genus Medical will become Scotland’s first ‘standalone centre of excellence for women’s health and fertility’ offering state-of-the-art care and innovation. Alongside this, a Centre of Sustainable Dentistry is planned. They will join Spire Healthcare, David Lloyd Leisure and the Danfoss Low Carbon Innovation Centre already onsite amongst other occupiers.
